“In Loving Memory” started out as an acoustic sing along song. It was created to be performed at live events. It featured short but powerful lyrics with a strong melody. But after the death of
a close friend, SaulPaul expanded the song, adding two new verses and full blown production. The song still features SaulPaul’s classical guitar playing and his powerful chorus,
but it is layered with drums, organs, some angelic synths and live violin strings. As a producer, what sets SaulPaul apart are his musical arrangements and that remains true on this song
as well. Proof? Listen for the surprising breakdown right
before the 2nd chorus. While poignant, there is no doubt that this song is definitely a celebration of life. I believe SaulPaul’s first 2 lines of the first verse sum up the song wonderfully...
“I refuse to allow how you died/take away from today/ as we’ve come to celebrate how you lived.”

“In Loving Memory” is a creative song that is emotional and inspiring.
